General election day at Dong Tam ward

Voters voiced their expectation that those elected will contribute to the country’s development.

The polling station in Hoanh Village, Dong Tam ward held a ceremony marking the start of the general elections for deputies of the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils of the 2021-2026 term at 7.00 a.m today [May 23].

“The local authorities have carefully reviewed the preparation plan to ensure safety and convenience for over 7,000 voters in the locality,” said Chairwoman of the Dong Tam ward People’s Committee Hoang Thanh Huong.

Le Quy Toan, a voter at neighborhood No.2 in Hoanh village, said the election committee has provided the locals with detailed instruction on Covid-19 prevention before voting.

“I feel happy when holding these ballots. We have studied thoroughly the information of each candidate and hope those elected will contribute to the country’s development,” Toan added.

Also from Hoanh village, Hoang Van Linh, 19, shares her experience in casting the ballots for the first time: ”With these ballots on hands, I feel that I have become a responsible citizen to the country.”

“Having studied candidates’ bios, I would vote for those who are most worthy,” Linh said.
