German director Dominik Gunther will collaborate with the Youth Theatre in Hanoi to introduce the play “Fisherman and a Golden Fish” to Vietnamese and German theatre-goers, the theatre announced recently.
The performance, planned under a cultural cooperation project between the Youth Theatre and Dresden’s New Generation Theatre, aims to strengthen cultural exchange and experience in fine arts.
Accordingly, Dominik Gunther will direct the play, while People’s Artist Le Khanh and director Bui Nhu Lai will act as his deputies. Casting is ongoing.
The play will run from November 27 to 29 in Hanoi, promising to impress audiences with new acting and stage styles.
This is the second time Dominik Gunther has worked with the Youth Theatre. In 2014, he set up the “Caucasian Chalk Circle” for the first time with the participation of Vietnamese actors.
