According to cultural experts, the festivals held in Phu Dong Temple (where Saint Giong was born) and Soc Temple (where he ascended to heaven) are the most meaningful and notable, which have been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of mankind.

Vice Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Thuan said locall authorities and people will do their utmost to preserve and promote the temple’s cultural heritage values as well as popularise the festival among both domestic and foreign tourists.

Giong Festival is a traditional festival which is celebrated annually in many parts of Hanoi to honour the mythical hero, Thánh Gióng "Saint Giong," who is credited with defending the country against foreign enemies.
