"Golden Steering Wheel" Awards 2020 presented to 50 individuals and 17 collectives in Vietnam

The awards aims at honoring good conduct drivers and transport businesses in Vietnam.

The National Road Safety Committee held the "Golden Steering Wheel" Awards 2020 ceremony in Hanoi on December 27 to honor good conduct drivers and transport businesses.

This is an annual award organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee to commend drivers and transport businesses for their efforts in ensuring traffic safety, raising awareness on road safety, traffic law compliance and traffic accidents prevention among the people, especially the drivers.

During the last year, more than 14,000 traffic accidents occurred nationwide, killing 6,700 people and injuring more than 10,000 others, a decrease by more than 3,000 accidents, nearly 1,000 deaths, and more than 2,800 injuries compared to 2019.
