Government web site up

The Hanoi Times - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung officially launched the Vietnam government web portal on Saturday, which although it was actually finished in 2006, took another four years to connect government ministries and agencies.

The website at recently completed eleven ports to connect to websites of ministries and other agencies, said Nguyen Xuan Phuc, head of the government office.

The website is in Vietnamese and English.

The PM also said that improvements should be made on the country’s notoriously slow connection speed as it continues to languish as one of the worst in Asia.
