Hanoi - Amsterdam cooperate to apply technology in numerous fields

Carrying out the City foreign mission 2015, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen The Thao led Hanoi’s Delegation to visit at Amsterdam (Netherlands) from 8th -11th September, 2015.

Right after entering Amsterdam, the Delegation has visited and exchanged experience with some manufacturers in Amsterdam; among those there was Waternet Company exerting on supplying clean water and resolving water and litter.

On behalf of the Delegation, Chairman Nguyen The Thao thanked Waternet’s leaders for the caring and useful, practical experience to Hanoi. Hence, the cooperative prospect between Hanoi and Waternet, as well as Amsterdam on applying technology of sewage resolution, especially to improve the To Lich river’s water environment.
On the Aug 11th noon, Chairman Nguyen The Thao met for the talk with Eberhard Van der Laan – Amsterdam Mayor. At the meeting, the Mayor and Chairman Nguyen The Thao informed the development of the two cities to each other, simultaneously, confirmed that the visit expressed bilateral friendship, concretizing the cooperation agreement.
Two sides agreed to reinforce cooperation on: water supplying and drainage, sewage and solid garbage resolution, urban plan, measure of developing smart city, culture exchange…First of all, Amsterdam will cooperate and support Hanoi to improve To Lich River’s environment.
