THE HANOI TIMES — The Hanoi government's Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is expected to cultivate a new generation of leaders who are dedicated to achieving the city's development goals.

The communist youth union, with 60 affiliated units in all departments, is expected to serve as a leadership training ground and support network for young professionals working in different sectors of municipal administration.
Nguyen Tien Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, expressed confidence in its members. “We need young cadres who are capable, politically aware, ethical and adaptable in times of change,” he stated.
Officials said that accelerating institutional reforms in the capital requires building digital competence, modern workplace values and a sense of civic responsibility among future leaders with urgency.

The union will promote innovation and community involvement through targeted campaigns. It will also support professional development, encourage youth participation in policymaking, and identify promising members for future Party admission.
Leaders called on the executive board to focus on meaningful, well-structured activities instead of symbolic events designed to impress. They must ensure that these activities address the real needs of young public servants.
