According to Hanoi Vice Mayor, the city’s export to the country reached about US$2 million last year, with products ranging from agriculture to mechanic and craft, while Hanoi also import many commodities of Greece’s strength. Bilateral ties of Vietnam and Greece are built and developed, on the basis of co-evolvement. Many Greek firms are investing in Vietnam. “In term of tourism, Hanoi welcomed nearly 3,000 Greek arrivals last year,” specified Hung. Basing on these positive achievements, the Hanoi official believes Edessa delegation’s visit would open a new phase for further cooperation and investment between the two cities in tourism, culture and trade.
For his part, Vice Mayor Anastasios Diou briefed about Edessa’s socio-economic performance during the past time, adding that the delegation’s trip aims to figure out more about Hanoi culture and set new communication channels to tighten the cooperation between the Greek city and Hanoi.
The Vice Mayor believes in bright future for the two cities’ cooperation. "The delegation, coming back from the trip, would encourage more Greek businesses' further investment in Hanoi", added the Greek official.
