Hanoi and Vientiane strengthen effective cooperation
On October 24th, Mr. Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo Member, Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee received a high level delegation from Vientiane (People`s Democratic Republic of Lao) led by Mr. Singlavong Khoutphaythoune, Lao`s Party Central Committee member, Party Secretary.
Attending the meeting were The Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee, Tuong Phi Chien,Vice Chairman of Hanoi’s people Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of People's Democratic Republic of Lao to Vietnam Somphone Sichaleune.

At the meeting, the two sides informed each other of the achievements of both Hanoi and Vientiane in recent years, especially in 2014 when the world situation is complicated. However, Vietnam and Laos still maintain their stable growth, achieving great results on the economic – social fields, political security. Moreover, friendly relation between Vietnam and Laos continues to develop.
Party Secretary Singlavong Khoutphaythoune thanked the warm greetings of the leaders of Hanoi Party Committee and tremendous help of Hanoi in the past year, and expressed his wishes to learn experiences with Hanoi in Party building work, personnel management, staff training; the management of social, economic development - the capital of a society, such as budget management experience, agricultural and rural development; exploitation of real estate resources; law of Capital to promote the potentials of Vientiane as well as cooperation with Hanoi and development. He also wants to send experts to Hanoi to study and help Laos implement the content.

Agreeing with the above proposals, Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi said the two countries have special friendship like comrades, brothers, always stand side by side in the struggle for independence and freedom and building development. Secretary of Hanoi Party also shared experience which Vientiane’s delegations are interested in. He said:"Hanoi has diplomatic relations with 80 capitals of countries around the world but Hanoi has deep relationships with Vientiane. He affimed that Hanoi city and relevant agencies would provide information and documents which Vientiane delegation are concerned about, creating new development, efficiency, practicality between Hanoi and Vientiane as well as contributing to tightening friendly relations of the two countries especially in the fields of politics, economy – society.”
