The new tile mural aims to realize the friendship demonstration that international friends want to offer to Hanoi by decorating it with ceramic tile works.
Hanoi's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has recently approved the proposal of New Hanoi Arts Company on decorating the right bank of the Red River dyke, a section of Nghi Tam ward in Tay Ho district with tile works, the Government Portal reported.
The new tile mural aims to realize the friendship demonstration that international friends want to offer to Hanoi by decorating it with ceramic tile works.
The tile work will be performed in a concrete dyke wall of 1,114 meters length. The tilers are required not to change the structure of the dyke to ensure the its safety. In addition, New Hanoi Arts Company is required to draw lessons from previous tile works along the dyke as it has already shown signs of breakage.
Previously in 2015, the company conducted reparation and maintenance of the “Ceramic Tile Road” along the Red River dyke, which was completed in 2010 to mark the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.
The 4km community tile work project was included the Guinness’ record as the longest ceramic tile clad wall in the world.
