More than 400 deputies of Hanoi have represented all walks of life in the city in 14 tenures of the National Assembly (NA) since the first legislature that was elected in 1946, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue said at a meeting on January 5.
Almost all deputies of Hanoi have fulfilled their missions by collecting ideas for drafting laws and codes, meeting constituents to listen to their recommendations, holding supervision activities and Q&A sessions, Mr. Hue said at the event that marked the attendance of incumbent and former leaders.

In the NA’s 14th tenure for 2016-21, the Hanoi deputy delegation has collected ideas for 66 draft laws and codes, organized nearly 400 meetings with constituents, 12 supervision trips and meetings, nearly 200 Q&A sessions, according to Mr. Hue.
In the upcoming time, Hanoi will elect deputies for the NA’s 15th tenure and representatives of the People’s Council for the 2021-26 term at all levels.
