Consumers in Hanoi have more options for safe agricultural products through Hanoi`s website on safe farm produce, including addresses of safe and prestigious agricultural products in the city.
For the first time, the information on safe agricultural products will be updated on a specialized page (https://nongsanantoanhanoi.gov.vn), which provides Hanoi's consumers with the experience of recognizing clean and safe farm produce.
The page was launched by the Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Centre (HPA) on August 27.
At the launching ceremony, the HPA’s Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Mai Anh said the website is expected to help connect producers and businesses and promote their safe agricultural products both at home and abroad.
The launch of this website aims to raise people’s awareness on clean and safe agricultural products and food for organizations, enterprises and consumers in Hanoi, Anh added.
At the same time, it guides the experience of identifying clean and safe agricultural products using QR Code, she added.
The site will enable producers to access production processes in a variety of ways. Distributors, through this website, will find the products certified to meet food safety. At the mean time, they can promote their stores to consumers, as well as access to the directory of safe manufacturing units to seek business cooperation opportunities, Mai Anh stressed.
Speaking at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of the Economics & Urban Newspaper Nguyen Minh Duc stated that the website on safe agricultural products is a modern information page, with many conveniences for consumers and businesses. In the coming time, the newspaper will support the HPA in promoting the page to consumers and enterprises.
However, in order to further improve communication, JICA (Japan) needs to step up support the HPA and the Economics & Urban Newspaper in the communication on origin of goods and product quality, Duc said.
In addition to the support of media agencies such as the Economics & Urban newspaper, the HPA needs to promote this website on social media, thereby turning the website into an e-commerce platform, Duc added.
