The 2025 Thang Long Entrepreneurs and Enterprises Honoring Ceremony, held in Hanoi on December 22, celebrated excellence while encouraging the business community to renew its mindset, sharpen competitiveness and support Hanoi’s ambition to become a regional hub for innovation and international trade.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung urged Hanoi’s business community to strengthen corporate governance, enhance transparency and pursue long-term growth strategies that align efficiency with social responsibility.
He emphasized that science and technology must serve as the foundation and main driver of development, calling on enterprises to integrate more deeply into global value chains and meet increasingly rigorous international standards.
Dung also called on ministries, agencies and especially the Hanoi administration to accelerate institutional reforms and remove bottlenecks related to administrative procedures, land access, capital and planning.
He said the Government consistently views enterprises as the center of the development process, as partners to support, accompany and empower.
"Business associations must play a stronger role in connecting, guiding and supporting their members to raise overall competitiveness," said Dung.
With the Thang Long–Hanoi tradition and the intelligence, resilience and ambition of its entrepreneurs, I am confident that the capital’s business community will continue to grow and contribute even more to the country’s rapid and sustainable development."
Mac Quoc Anh, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HANOISME), said this year’s theme carries special significance, reflecting the aspirations and expanding role of Hanoi’s entrepreneurs in a new phase of development.

He highlighted Politburo Resolution 68 as a key political and legal foundation for the business community, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, which account for 98.5% of businesses nationwide, contribute about 50% of GDP and generate millions of jobs each year.
At the event, HANOISME launched a new emulation movement across the business community, encouraging enterprises to accelerate production and business activities in support of the capital’s growth objectives.
The initiative aims to help Hanoi achieve an average GRDP growth rate of 11% during the 2026-2030 period, as set out in the resolution of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress.
