Vice Chairman of the Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference – Sichuan provincial chapter Zhao Zhenxian is impressed by the efforts made by Vietnam, including Hanoi, during the struggle for national liberation and sovereignty defense.
Hanoi wants to expand relations with China’s Sichuan province, said President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) – Hanoi chapter Vu Hong Khanh during the talks with visiting Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference – Sichuan provincial chapter Zhao Zhenxian in Hanoi on November 24.
At the talks, Vu Hong Khanh briefed the guest on Hanoi’s situation in 2018 and VFF-Hanoi chapter’s key tasks in the time ahead.
In the coming time, the VFF-Hanoi chapter will focus on renewing its content and operation mode, paying attention to the Party and Government construction tasks, social monitoring and questioning, supervising key officials of state agencies and so on, Khanh said.
Khanh added that the VFF acts as a linkage between the Communist Party of Vietnam, municipal authorities and people from all walks of life and has the responsibility of educating so as for the people to have sound understanding about the Party and State policies, thus creating a consensus in the society.
Besides, he emphasized the time-honored friendship between Vietnam and China, affirming that Hanoi always treasures China’s interest in and support for Vietnam’s revolutionary cause.
In the renewal period, the relationship between the two countries has taken new steps, in depth and effectiveness, as reflected in the recent working visit of the two countries’ leaders, towards the two sides’ sustainable development.
For his part, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference – Sichuan provincial chapter Zhao Zhenxian said he is impressed by the efforts made by Vietnam, including Hanoi, during the struggle for national liberation and sovereignty defense.
Pointing to similarities in development policies of the two countries, Zhao Zhenxian said that cooperation between their localities will have a foundation to develop further in the time to come.
He affirmed that the cooperation between localities of the two countries will have a good foundation for development. Moreover, Zhao Zhenxian expressed his hope that both sides will discuss to seek specific opportunities for development cooperation.
