Under the theme “From Born-Physical to Born-Virtual: Augmenting Intelligence in Digital Libraries”, the 2022 edition welcomes the in-person participation of over 100 senior researchers in digital library and digital knowledge management from the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific region and 200 domestic guests, including leaders of universities, library directors, researchers, and students.
The conference also sees the virtual participation of over 1,000 global scholars and researchers from many nations worldwide.
VNU-Hanoi stated that ICADL 2022 is an academic bridge between domestic and foreign experts in computer science, digital library, digital information administration, and digital knowledge administration. The university hopes to spread knowledge in these fields to numerous students across the capital city of Hanoi.
The first two days of the conference have featured academic sessions on such topics as data archiving and administration and intelligent data analysis, while the third day will be joined by AP-iSchools, a global organization engaging in recruiting new members from all universities worldwide that offer doctoral programs and active research programs on information science.
The ICADL meetings draw researchers and professionals from the library and information science, computer science, social science, information systems, law and policy, education and learning, and various other academic disciplines. Research topics range from digital library technologies and information systems; to content management, service models, and cost and sustainability issues.
The ICADL, held for the first time in Hong Kong in 1998, is annually organized as one of the three top international venues for connecting digital libraries, computer science - library, and information science communities.
