Hanoi: industrial production index increased by 8.8%

The index of industrial production of Hanoi in October increased by 3.8% over the previous month and by 8.8% over the same period in 2014.

In particular, mining rose 4.2% over the previous month and down 5.7% over the same period last year; processing industry, manufacturing rose 3.7% and 8.9%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam, down 0.9% and 0.7%; water supply, management and disposal, wastewater 9.3% and 12.1%.

Thus, 10 months of 2015, the 
industrial production index increased by 7.8% over the same period in 2014.


In particular, the mining sector fell by 21.7%, due to sand mining  is banned in Hanoi, affecting the flow and safety of dike system; processing industry, making up 8%; production and distribution of electricity increased by 7.5%; water supply, management and disposal, waste water increased by 2.3%.

In the processing industry, manufacturing industry had the largest proportion at a rate slightly up compared with the average as: Producing dress up by 23.6%; production of paper and paper products increased by 25.4%; produce medicines, drugs and pharmaceuticals increased by 29.1%; motor vehicle production increased by 36.9%; production of beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs rose 45.7%.

However, the industry still faces many difficulties, slow recovery, not out of financial difficulty and limitations of markets, such as food production and processing decreased by 3.6%; textile industry fell by 9.2%; Woodworking and wood products, bamboo down 7.6%; manufacture of rubber products, plastics down 9.2%; metal production fell by 15.3%.


Main industrial products in Hanoi estimated 10 months are as follows: Canned beer increased 38.1% over the same period last year; filterless cigarettes rose 2.1%; tulle fell 30.8%; rattan increased by 39%; books, notebooks, paper sheaves up 20.2%; vaccines for veterinary medicine use increased by 61%; fresh concrete increased by 35.4%; integrated electronic circuits increased 80.1%; fans of all kinds increased by 11.6%.
