Traffic police ensure safety during festive season

The Traffic Police Department launched a campaign to ensure traffic safety during the New Year, Lunar New Year, and early spring festivals (December 15 – February 14, 2025) today (December 15). The move focuses on enforcing laws on highways and railways, targeting drunk driving, drug use, overspeeding, and overloaded vehicles. Local police also intensify crime prevention measures to safeguard public order during the festive season.

 Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival 2024 kicks off in Quang Tri

The Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival 2024 officially opened on November 14 in the central province of Quang Tri, attracting provincial leaders from across the country, artisans, and performers from 16 delegations. The two-day event aims to preserve and promote cultural heritage values through prominent activities such as folk art performances, traditional costume displays, cultural rituals, exhibitions of cultural products, and ethnic sports competitions.

Outstanding community projects drive sustainable development

The Human Act Prize 2024 honored 31 outstanding community projects and ideas during a ceremony at Ho Guom Theater, Hanoi. Under the theme “Creative Communities,” the awards recognized impactful initiatives promoting education, health, clean energy, and sustainable development. Selected from 128 submissions, the winners exemplify innovation, sustainability, and inspiration, driving positive societal change and fostering collaboration for a better future.

Businesses prioritize AI talent to boost competitiveness in 2022

According to the 2024–2025 Recruitment Market Report by TopCV, 46.25% of Vietnamese businesses prioritize hiring AI experts in 2025, reflecting a strong shift towards leveraging AI for operational efficiency and competitiveness. Currently, 61.2% of businesses apply AI at varying levels, with 94% of IT professionals already utilizing AI tools. Businesses emphasize upskilling and fostering digital talent for sustainable growth in the AI era. 

Traditional Sports shine at Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival 2024

Nearly 280 athletes from 12 delegations actively competed at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival 2024, held at the Quang Tri Provincial Multi-Purpose Sports Hall from December 14 to 16. Events included stick pushing, tug of war, crossbow shooting, and slingshot shooting, with various individual and team competitions. The Organizing Committee will award a total of 444 medals, recognizing the efforts and talents of athletes from across the provinces.

Vietnam attracts 174 FDI projects with a total capital of US$11.6 billion

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung stated that Vietnam is emerging as an attractive destination in the semiconductor industry, with 174 FDI projects and a total registered capital of nearly US$11.6 billion. The government has partnered with NVIDIA to establish R&D and AI centers, boosting investment and advancing human resource development. Key priorities like infrastructure, policy frameworks, and talent development are driving Vietnam's ambition to become a regional leader in semiconductors and AI.
