Hanoi is always ready to support businesses

Hanoi authorities will always create the best conditions to support Japanese companies in the fields of investment, trade and tourism in Hanoi. That is confirmed by City Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung at the workshop "Promotion for Vietnam - Japan Investment and Tourism" held on March 20.

Data from the Ministry of Planning and Investment showed that Japan currently ranked No. 2 in the 105 countries and territories investing in Vietnam. According to Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc, Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular is applying reforms and integration of modern advanced standards in the world. "When TPP effects, Japan will have to rearrange the value chain strategy with Vietnam. For their sake, Japanese companies are restructuring to invest in Vietnam, thereby making it a new wave of investment". VCCI Chairman also suggested Japanese investors to participate and strengthen, support Ha Noi construction investment programs in infrastructure, industry, tourism and services.

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said comprehensive cooperation with Japan is the focal factor in the capital’s socio-economic development and external affairs. He underlined Hanoi’s orientation to draw foreign direct investment toward advancing technology and promoting technical transfer for sustainable development. Hanoi hopes Japan will continue to run new investment projects in the capital, he added. He also revealed the capital’s policy of boosting two-way trade and its strategies to draw tourists from Japan to Hanoi and vice versa. Local authorities pledged to create the best conditions for the two sides’ business communities to cooperate in the fields of investment, trade and tourism, City Chairman stated.
