On March 29, Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung had a meeting with Mr. Csaba Ory - Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam at a courtesy call and discussed the acceleration for the project of the Red River`s surface water.

At the meeting, Hungarian Ambassador have confirmed that traditional cooperation relationship between the two Capitals. Mr. Csaba Ory also said the Hungarian government wants to continue deepening twinning relations and expanding cooperation in various fields between the two cities.
Referring to the project of Red River's surface water, Mr. Tombor Baslint - CTA's Political Ministers and Chief Credit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary said that cooperation credit support levels between the two countries in the near future will be consolidated and strengthened. Earlier this year, Hungary was given to the Vietnam draft framework agreement on financial cooperation worth 500 million euros, including water project of Hanoi.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung thanked the support of the government and people of Hungary in the process of building the country's development, and said that the two countries in general and the city in particular are very promising, that can function long-term cooperation. Surface water on the Red River project which the Hungarian government proposed funding for Vietnam under the ODA, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung said, this is an urgent need because the entire rural area has water supply rate reaching only 29%.
Nguyen Duc Chung also stressed that Hanoi will ensure the conditions of the apparatus, ground, meet the requirements to accelerate the project.
City Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung confirmed that the city will have to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the rapid completion of procedures and projects committed to promoting Red River's surface water. Nguyen Duc Chung also expressed his confidence that with the cooperation between the two countries, the project will be smoothly conducted.
