Hanoi listed the third in administrative reform

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently released the Report No. 172/BC-UBND on indicator of administrative reform of Hanoi in 2016 in the area.
According to the report, the capital city ranked third among 63 cities and provinces nationwide regarding administrative reform. In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs highly appreciated the city’s drastic participation in directing and operating administrative reform, administrative procedures and administrative apparatus.
The achievements have reflected efforts of the political system, levels, sectors from the capital city to localities as well as the city’s attention, close direction and the advisory role of Departments of Home Affairs, Justice, Finance, Information and Communications, Investment and Planning, Science and Technology in performing missions of administrative reform.
Hanoi has continued giving a list of initiatives for administrative reform which are highly appreciated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, such as: piloting the issuance of certificates of investment, business registration for foreign investors at the Department of Investment and Planning; granting mobile ID cards at headquarters of agencies, units, etc. the capital city has gained some outstanding achievements thanks to information technology applications, such as: online public services at level 3 in justice; online enrollment software in the 2016-2017 school year; e-school models in Long Bien District, etc.
To improve the indicator of administrative reform in the following years, Hanoi will continue maintaining, improving the fields of administrative reform; setting up 13 solutions, including: asking agencies, units to strengthen communication and improving awareness of administrative reform; specifying administrative reform programs and plans of the capital city into detailed programs, plans of units, agencies; identifying responsibility and duty of each individual; arranging human resources, funds for administrative reform; regularly monitoring, urging units to implement administrative reform tasks on schedule, etc.
