Reviewing a number of delegation exchanges between the two sides, Hanoi mayor said that the activities have contributed to enhancing the Vietnam-Laos special friendship.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said the city highly values friendship and solidarity with Lao localities while hosting outgoing Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Thongsavanh Phomvihane in Hanoi on September 27.
Chung lauded the Lao diplomat’s efforts to connect Hanoi with Lao localities and expand the two sides’ partnership over the past years, adding that he will continue directing the implementation of agreements signed by the two sides.

Chung also expressed his hope that Thongsavanh Phomvihane will keep supporting the connection between Hanoi and Vientiane as well as with other Lao localities, boosting comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in all fields.
For his part, Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane thanked the Hanoi’s authority for supporting the Lao embassy’s activities in the capital city.
The Lao diplomat said that he is impressed with the outstanding growth of Vietnam and Hanoi over the years, adding that he has leant helpful experience from Vietnam during his term.
Thongsavanh Phomvihane affirmed that he will try his best to contribute to strengthening special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in general, Hanoi and Vientiane or other Lao localities in particular.
