Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung chaired the inauguration ceremony of CV1 park and conditioning lake, in the Cau Giay new urban areas.
Deputy Chairman of City Council Standing Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuan also attended the ceremony.
CV1 park and conditioning lake is the 3rd in targeted programs to build 25 parks for the Capital.
The park has a total area of 31.76ha, of which 19ha are dedicated to digging the conditioning reservoirs, 12.7ha for green items and entertainment area. Total investment for the project is 938 billion, it is expected to be built in 30 months and will be completed and put into use in 2018.
CV1 park and conditioning lake is built in a concentrated area of urban and high-rise buildings, so as to bring more ecologically significant and important role for the environment. Tu Liem District Chairman Nguyen Van Hai Nam said: "This is the steppingstone to convert the area from urban type of compression to ecology one".
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said: "This is a significant project in developing program chain systems of trees, parks, gardens and pools for the Capital in the period of 2016 - 2020, towards the realization of the goal to plant 1 million trees and build 25 parks for Hanoi Capital."
