Upon the invitation of the Secretary of the Vientiane Party Committee and Chairman of the Vientiane People’s Council, Anouphap Tounalom, the Hanoi’s Party Chief Dinh Tien Dung will lead the delegation to visit and work in Vientiane for two days from March 11 to 12.
As part of the visit, the high-ranking delegation of Hanoi is expected to extend greetings to Secretary General and State President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and the country’s Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung will hold talks with his Vientiane counterpart Anouphap Tounalom to assess the effectiveness of implementing the 2022 cooperation program and discuss new areas of collaboration.
The high-ranking delegation from Hanoi will engage in various meaningful activities to deepen the practical cooperation and strengthen the fraternal relationship between the two capitals and countries. These activities include the inauguration of the headquarters of the Department of Justice and the People's Procuratorate of Vientiane, funded by Hanoi; and participation in the tourism promotion program "Hanoi - Vientiane 2024."
This marks the second visit by Hanoi’s leader to Laos in the past three years. The visit of the high-ranking delegation from Hanoi to Laos contributes to consolidating and strengthening the cooperation and development relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Hanoi and Vientiane in particular.
