Hanoi plans on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy Program in 2018
The Hanoi People’s Committee granted Plan No. 63/KH-UBND on March 13, implementing the Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy in 2018 in the Capital city.

According to the plan, departments, sectors, People’s Committees of districts, towns and relevant units are given guidelines to make and deploy their programs on economical and efficient use of energy; urge electricity-hungry facilities to save energy as stipulated by law; organize conferences, forums to popularize mechanisms, policies and regulations on economical and efficient use of energy; etc.
Besides, the city will popularize a series of solutions to develop high-performance equipments at hospitals in the area and measures for energy saving in building and working headquarters according to Directive No. 21/CT-UBND dated November 20, 2017 of the Municipal People’s Committee.
Additionally, Hanoi will also encourage households to respond to the energy saving movement and the Earth Hour Campaign 2018; use LED lamps for lighting systems in public works in the coming time; increase the number of lighting systems installed shutdown control so as to improve the efficiency and save energy; improve the efficiency of power use of public buses; evaluate the situation of power consumption to set up solutions for operation; innovate energy saving equipments; popularize the use of E5 bio-fuel to public transport units, etc.
