Hanoi Rethink Youth Creative Photography contest explores Hanoi from different perspectives
The contest calls for youth participation to promote the designation of Hanoi as a Creative City of Design.
The Hanoi Rethink Youth Creative Photography contest will offer an opportunity for young people to explore Hanoi through their own creative lenses.
Youth Photography, with original photos, and Creative Photography, with digitally manipulated images, are two categories of the contest that is for all amateur and professional photographers aged from 15 to 32 regardless of nationalities.

This project will support Hanoi City to implement its new strategic vision of a Creative City of Design, harnessing its cultural assets and youth participation as key agents for innovation, creativity, and social change.
On October 31, 2019, Hanoi became the first city in Vietnam to receive an official designation by UNESCO as a Creative City, which coincided with the 20th anniversary of the city’s designation as a UNESCO City for Peace.
Since then, the capital of Vietnam has continuously strived to keep its commitments to UNESCO. Until 2025, Hanoi will deploy many programs and projects to honor its commitments as one of UNESCO’s Network of creative cities (UNCC).
The “Hanoi Creative Design festival” has become an annual basis to commend the creativity of the people and enterprises, as well as foster cultural exchange domestically and internationally. The festival for the year 2022 has recently been organized, focusing on the theme of Design & Technology, with more than 40 activities and events organized around the city.
Previously, Hanoi launched its first creative hub: Mailand Hanoi City in the suburban district of Hoai Duc in January this year. The venue aims to be a creative hub where the city's heritage meets a global network of creators, entrepreneurs, and innovators of all kinds.
