On May, 9, Hanoi Deputy Mayor Nguyen Van Suu received Marek Wozniaksinh – Chairman of Legislature Council of Wielkopolski province (Poland).
The meeting also saw the participation of other representatives from Poland’s Embassy in Vietnam and Wielkopolski authority.
Chairman Marek Wozniaksinh described the trip as a catalyst for further cooperation between Hanoi and Wielkopolski as well as Hanoi with Polish enterprises, basing on sound good traditional friendship of Vietnam and Poland. A large amount of Vietnamese is living, working in Poland and vice versa, stated Chairman of Legislature Council of Wielkopolski province.
The Polish official hopes that, the trip would pave the way for new cooperation chances for both sides, especially in the areas of education-training, business exchange, tourism and inter-region collaboration.
For his part, Hanoi Deputy Mayor Nguyen Van Suu lauded the proposal by the Polish official, pressing that many potentials are waiting for both sides to exploit in the future such as in trade and tourism. “Many Polish products are welcomed in Hanoi, while Vietnamese business community is positively operating in Poland”, specified Suu on the striving ties of Hanoi and Poland.
On occasion of the delegation’s trip, Suu mentioned a future plan to send Hanoi business delegation to Poland during 2018-2019, with the aim to seek for cooperation chances and conduct specific trade activities. In term of education cooperation, Suu affirmed the city authority’s willingness to facilitate student exchanges with Wielkopolski province in detail, Poland in general.
Giving his appreciation to the support of Hanoi authority, Marek Wozniaksinh briefed that, as a big province of Poland, Wielkopolski has the leading GDP among the country's provinces with around 420.000 small and medium firms. Accordingly, he once again highlighted that the province is wishing to optimize the cooperation with all the worldwide cities, provinces, including Vietnam, especially amid the fact that Vietnam is among most preferred partners of Poland.
