Hanoi sets up 9 tasks performing "Year of urban order and civilization 2016"

Hanoi People`s Committee issued the Plan on the implementation of "Year of urban order and civilization 2016" on January 14. The plan sets out 9 key tasks to perform "Year of urban order and civilization 2016".

Firstly, the city will build contents and organise extensive propaganda about behavior beauty of Hanoian to create real change in communication behavior, culture in traffic, office and public areas.
Secondly, Hanoi will inspect, review and complete the process granting the construction permit and installing the advertisement boards in accordance with law.
Thirdly, continuing to implement traffic organization and management to reduce traffic congestions. The implementation of taxi licensing will rectified in discipline.
Fourth, to ensure the capital's clear sidewalks, Hanoi will focus dismantling roofs, roof scales, signs, advertisements, breaking podiums, pedestals which take the urban landscape.

The districts in the city are asked to register the list of civilized pavements under the urban civilized criteria.
Fifth, the city will organise the surveys, evaluation and implementation of pruning, planting and replacing trees, which do not meet the standard and are different to urban trees.
Strengthening the quality of management and renovation of parks and flower gardens in Hanoi capital.
Sixth, Hanoi will focus on the propaganda and mobilization of the city's residents to perform urban civilized lifestyle. Strengthening measures to reduce dust on streets. Embellishing pavements in Hanoi's streets and addressing the local flooding.
Seventh, strengthening the city's urban lighting decoration and investing to replace traffic lighting routes. Making an overall plan to invest and replace existing lights with LED on public lighting system throughout the city.
Eighth, continue to review and build specific plans to lay underground and arrange the system of power cables (at 200 streets).
Ninth is developing the plan to implement effectively the management and embellishment of newly-opened routes.
