Hanoi to apply measures to improve internet users’ awareness

Besides, it will strengthen communication, education of laws so as to increase the community’s awareness when participating in the internet.
At the mean time proactively cooperating with the Hanoi Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Popularization to instruct press agencies to boost the popularization of law on electronic information, gradually increase the community’s awareness and responsibility.
In addition, it will make plans on enhancing inspection to strictly handle intentional violation cases; ask units, enterprises operating general information websites, social networks to realize missions at Plan No. 07/KH-UBND dated January 5, 2018 of the Municipal People’s Committee.
The Department of Information and Communications asked departments, sectors, People’s Committees of districts, towns to strengthen the popularization among officials, public servants and employees.
Press agencies are tasked to implement directions of the Commission for Education and Popularization and guidelines of the Department of Information and Communications in improving the community’s awareness of using internet.
Moreover, press agencies will cooperate with the department and relevant units to make plan on strengthening communication; tighten the control of exploiting information on internet; thoroughly grasp issues, events to timely give guidelines, especially important, complicated and sensitive issues.
Commissions for Education and Popularization of districts, towns will enhance the popularization of guidelines of the Party and policies, laws of the State and regulations of the city so as to improve internet users’ awareness.
