In Hanoi’s planning on bus stations and parking lots to 2030 with a vision to 2050, Yen So bus station would be a medium-term inter-provincial facility to reduce overload on Giap Bat, Nuoc Ngam and Gia Lam bus stations.
The construction project of Yen So bus station is suitable with Hanoi's zoning plan and will become the most modern bus station in Vietnam.
Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has just directed to build the bus station in Yen So ward, Hoang Mai district.
The Deputy PM asked the Hanoi People's Committee to invest in Yen So bus station according to its competence and in accordance with the approved planning and regulations. The project must ensure the requirements of the landscape and environmental protection; ensure publicity, transparency, avoiding loss of state property.
Besides, the Hanoi People's Committee has approved the Yen So bus station project. Accordingly, the bus station will be near Yen So Park, south of Ring Road 3, with an area of about 3.2 hectares.
The new bus station will have three floors and one basement. The basement is about 5,000m2 and is used as garage for passengers' vehicles. The center of the bus station will have a round shape with three floors and an area of 2,000 square meters. The first floor will be used for selling tickets and showroom for rent, the second floor will be used to sell fast food.
Most of the stages at the bus station will be automated, such as vehicle accessing to the terminal by technology, LED panels displaying information about the bus, time of departure, reception doors, or bus area, taxi area and so on.
According to Hanoi’s planning on bus stations and parking lots to 2030 with a vision to 2050, elaborated by the Department of Transport and the Institute of Planning and Construction of Hanoi, the Yen So bus station would be a inter-provincial facility to reduce overload on Giap Bat, Nuoc Ngam and Gia Lam bus stations.
