Hanoi to deploy major missions and solutions for development

The Hanoi People’s Committee released the Plan No. 240/KH-UBND on December 12, implementing the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Announcement No. 508/TB-VPCP dated October 31 on several major missions and measures for the city’s development in the coming time.

The plan aims to specify and build some specific mechanisms according to the city’s recommendations approved by the PM and put the mechanisms into reality which match wih the city’s management and development and in accordance with current laws.




 
Based on the PM’s direction and guidelines of ministries and central sectors as well as promoting gained achievements and reducing shortcomings and weaknesses over the past time, Hanoi will continue to strengthen innovation and creativity so as to create resources for the socio-economic development. 

In addition, the Capital city will outline steps, roadmap and build suitable measures and mechanisms as a basis of direction, operation and state management in each field; identify and clarify the responsibility of each agency, unit and leaders in building some mechanisms, solutions approved by the PM as well as  proactively advising, proposing several solutions so that the capital city will proactively cooperate with ministries and central sectors to considers and resolve under the authority or give a report to the PM for his direction.

 


 

Furthermore, based on seven missions, solutions, the Department of Investment and Planning, the Hanoi Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies will advise the policy making and the building of short-term, medium-term and long-term plans on socio-economic development, assurance of security and national defense in the area.

Besides, departments, sectors and People’s Committees of districts, towns will make short-term, medium-term and long-term implementation plans; orient and set up plans on socio-economic development, assurance of security and national defense in localities.

The Department of Investment and Planning is tasked to urge, sum up the situation and give periodic reports on results of implementing seven missions and solutions to the Hanoi People’s Committee.
