The Hanoi Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Communication has recently released Guidance No.54 on strengthening communication on socioeconomic targets as well as mission and solutions for 2018.
Hanoi to enhance communication on socio-economic development in 2018

Accordingly, Hanoi will set up a communication guideline on mass media to implement co-operation mechanisms between the Commission for Education and Communication and state management agencies in deploying plans on socioeconomic development and on the settlement of concerning issues.
The Commissions for Education and Communication of districts, suburban districts, towns, and socio-political collectives are tasked to advise the Party Committees to grasp and popularize the directives and resolutions on socioeconomic development of the Party and the State. They will also need to launch promotion activities to fulfill missions of socio-economic development, national defense, and security. Additionally, they will have to promote the people’s power in all fields. The Commissions are also tasked with creating consensus and strengthening national unity, encouraging people to take part in socioeconomic development programs, as well as performing and monitoring the implementation of socioeconomic development missions for 2018. Lastly, these bodies will organize dialogues, meetings, and training courses for officials and staff in charge of socioeconomic communication.
The Department of Culture and Sports will provide guidelines on organizing cultural activities, sports festivals, and exhibitions, contributing to introducing the Capital’s advantages to attract investment in socioeconomic development.
The Department of Information and Communications is assigned to co-operate with the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Communication to direct the popularization of socioeconomic development, outstanding events, and external activities.
The Department of Foreign Affairs will create favorable conditions for foreign press agencies to report on the socioeconomic development of the Capital and the country, as well as provide information on great international events related to the country’s socio-economic development and the Capital’s achievements for domestic and foreign press agencies.
Departments, sectors, and units will proactively co-operate with the Commission for Education and Communication to strengthen the popularization of carrying out the socioeconomic development missions of the Capital and the country in 2018.
Press agencies will follow the directions of the Commission for Education and Communication, co-operate with state management bodies to popularize the implementation of socioeconomic development missions and solutions, as well as improve the quality of specialized pages, categories and forums. They will also strengthen communications on production and consumption and socio-economic development movements.
