Hanoi to expand agricultural cooperatives for sustainable growth by 2030
Hanoi will support the establishment of at least 14 cooperatives and 290 cooperative groups in the agricultural sector by 2025.
The city's target is to expand the network of agricultural cooperatives by 100 and the cooperative groups by 1,000 through 2030 to be in line with the project "Vietnam Farmers' Union Participating in Collective Economic Development in Agriculture until 2030."

The plan focuses on increasing the awareness and responsibility of officials and members regarding the Party's policies and the country's laws related to collective economic development.
It will improve the operation of at least 15 agricultural cooperatives by 2025 and 100 cooperatives by 2030.
Hanoi also aims to have an additional 12% of farmers participating in collective economic organizations by 2025, and 15% by 2030.
The city seeks to have at least 50% of agricultural cooperatives supported by the Vietnam Farmers Union to engage in production linkages with enterprises by 2025, rising to at least 70% by 2030.
In addition, 100% of Farmers' Union officials will be trained in skills to support collective economic development.
In order to achieve these goals, the Hanoi People's Committee has entrusted the Farmers' Union with organizing training courses and mobilizing social resources.
Meanwhile, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will be responsible for implementing the plan and ensuring effective training and support for cooperatives and cooperative groups.
Districts and towns are encouraged to allocate local budget funds to the plan, with specific responsibilities assigned to the farmers' union and relevant sectors.
