The decision is a follow-up of Plan No.118/KH-UBND dated May 25, 2018 of the Municipal People’s Committee on organizing the conference “Hanoi 2018 – Investment and Development Cooperation”, the Municipal People’s Committee assigned the Department of Investment and Planning to take prime responsibility to prepare relevant documents.Under the plan, the conference will take place from 7.30AM to 12.00AM on June 16, 2018 at the National Convention Center (No.1 Thang Long Avenue, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District).
It is expected to attract the participation of from 1,200 to 1,500 delegates and about 150 journalists from press agencies.

The Department of Construction will be responsible for contacting with provinces, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Phu Tho and coordinating with the Department of Investment and Planning to draft Memorandum of Cooperation on planting urban trees and flowers to supply Hanoi in the coming time.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is in charge of proactively contacting with relevant departments, sectors, provinces and collaborating with the Department of Investment to draft Memorandum of Cooperation on treating environmental pollution in the Nhue - Day river basin.
The Municipal People’s Committee urged the city’s departments, sectors and agencies, on the basis of schedule and assigned contents at Plan No.118/KH-UBND dated May 25, 2018 of the Municipal People’s Committee, to strictly carry out missions as requested.
The conference is a chance for the local goverment to meet domestic and foreign investors, enterprises, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, business counseling agencies, associations, Vietnamese and international organizations so as to attract more domestic and foreign investments via introducing potential and changes of investments in Hanoi and other localities in Vietnam.
The event is expected to strengthen the cooperation among localities as well as the socio-economic development of the northern key economic region; effectively carry out the Government’s directions on deploying plans, programs, minutes of cooperation so as to promote the regional development and connection.
