Hanoi to implement “Act for consumer rights” programme throughout March
The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade held a meeting to announce the implementation of the “Act for consumer rights 2016” programme on January 26.
The annual programme is held in response to the World Consumer Rights Day (March 15) with the aim to improve businesses’ responsibility as well as consumers’ awareness of their rights and consumption activities.
The municipal Department of Industry and Trade said the programme will be organised in Hanoi throughout March with numerous activities.
Accordingly, throughout March, the Month for Consumer Rights, high-quality goods will be sold at reasonable prices at more than 100 locations across the city.
Besides, a festival will be organised at some places on March 19 - 20 to sell quality products and provide repair and maintenance services and other customer care packages.
A discussion on consumers’ right to accessing accurate and sufficient information about goods and services will be aired on the Hanoi Radio and Television Station.
During this year’s programme, communication activities will be updated on the event’s website quyennguoitieudunghanoi.vn and via social networks.
