This is the plan of the City People's Committee on developing agricultural and rural tourism associated with new rural construction in Hanoi in the 2022-2025 period.

According to the plan, each district or town with potential and strength in developing agricultural and rural tourism in the city should aim to have at least one to three community tourism services and tourist attractions and have at least 50% of these products protected by intellectual property law and recognized by the One Commune One Product program (OCOP) with three stars or higher standards.

They should have at least one model of a typical agricultural and rural tourism chain with the participation of farmers, cooperatives, business households and enterprises.

According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the suburbs of the capital have the potential to develop rural and ecological tourism. Many local businesses have built products connecting the metropolitan area with the suburbs.

The city also sets a target of training and enhancing vocational skills for at least 80% of employees in service establishments and tourism craft villages, as well as managers and agricultural and rural tourism businesses.

In order to achieve these goals, the city will evaluate the current situation of agricultural and rural tourism, support the development of community tourism destinations associated with traditional craft villages, agricultural and rural industries.

Funding for the implementation of this plan will come from the national target program on building new rural areas, the city budget and private sources.

This plan is one of the contents of the national target program on building a new-style rural area in association with restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy, improving the lives of farmers in the 2021-25 period.
