Hanoi to popularize important international integration events in the 2017-2020 period

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently released Official Letter 3921/UBND-KGVX, requesting relevant departments and agencies to enhance information work and popularization of important international integration events in the 2017-2020 period.

This is an activity in response to Decision 1117/QD-TTg dated July 28, 2017 of the Prime Minister on approving plan to enhance information work and popularization of important international integration events in the 2017-2020 period. Accordingly, it focuses on following tasks:
 



Increasing popularization of policies of the Party and legal policies of the State on international integration; popularize international integration events and activities, and results of integration in the fields of politics, national defense and security, participation in multilateral institutions, and contribution to building political order, world of justice and democracy, preventing war and conflict, consolidating peace and promoting cooperation for mutual benefits;

Popularizing events, activities and results of integration in the fields of economy, social affairs, education and training, science and technology, bilateral and multilateral cooperation of Viet Nam with countries and international organizations, participation of Vietnam in international forums and conferences, contributing to enhancing the role and prestige of the country on the international stage;

 



Increasing effort to promote the image of Vietnamese country and people, and introduce success in the fields of culture, art and sports; popularize information about activities and ceremonies to mark anniversaries of bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, as well as important events of the Party and the State; disseminate information about important international events in the fields of politics, economy, culture, science and technology in Vietnam.

In response to the document, the Hanoi People’s Committee assigns Department of Information and Communications in coordination with Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Finance, press agencies and relevant units to act as advisor to the city, and report to the Municipal People’s Committee by August 26.
