The Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People`s Committee, Nguyen Doan Toan, has recently signed Official Letter No.821/UBND-MPI on rectifying the bidding process for investment projects and regular procurement activities using state capital.
Hanoi to rectify bidding procedures
|
To intensify bidding inspection and examination according to its functions and tasks, it is necessary to handle individuals and organizations violating bidding regulations and failing to comply with the contents of the Prime Minister's Directive No.47/CT-TTg. This is one of the criteria to assess the accomplishment of the mission.
To strictly sanction investors and units that fail to comply with regulations on bidding reporting, the Hanoi People's Committee will not allocate or transfer capital to projects where such issues appear.
In the process of implementation, if any difficulties arise, the People's Committees of districts, towns, and units will be responsible for submitting a timely report to the Department of Planning and Investment and the Municipal People's Committee for consideration and direction.
