The program aims to support businesses, cooperatives and rural industrial workshops in the production and marketing of handicrafts.
Hanoi will be host to the 2024 Exhibition of Creative Handicraft Designs from November 14 to November 17 at Phung Khac Khoan Flower Square in Thach That District.

This exhibition will feature 100 booths displaying 500 to 600 new and creative handicrafts. It will also feature 300 to 350 items based on creative concepts or developed from newly recognized designs.
In addition to product displays, the event will offer live demonstrations by skilled artisans and craftspeople. Organizers will arrange hands-on tours for young designers to interact with artisans and local and international experts to deepen their understanding of production practices among rural facilities.
The program aims to support enterprises, cooperatives, and rural industrial workshops in producing and promoting their handicrafts, said Nguyen Dinh Thang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade.
Participants will get access to the latest designs and products from skilled artisans, experts and young designers, helping to bring these designs into production and effectively meet consumer demand, he added.
"In addition, the initiative will contribute to the development of the handicraft sector and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in Hanoi, and improve supply-demand linkages and promoting local products,” Thang said.
“These efforts aim to promote community involvement and encourage trade among residents and businesses," the deputy director said.
