Artists of the Southern Arts Theatre received bronze medals for their performance at the international circus festival in Mongolia, Director of the theatre Nguyen Duc The said.
The performances that were awarded were Thang Bang Tren Thang (Balance on the Ladder) and Tung Hung Nghe Thuat (Artistic Prestidigitation) by circus artists Minh Tien and Ngoc Bao, respectively.
This is the first international circus festival to be held in Mongolia. Circuses from many countries that present strong performances, such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria and Switzerland, participated in the festival that was held from October 10 to 18.
Seven medals were awarded during the festival. Three gold medals were won by Mongolian and Russian circuses, Swiss and Mongolian circuses received two silver medals, while the two bronze medals went to Vietnamese artists.
The performance entitled Tung Hung Nghe Thuat by circus artist Ngoc Bao earlier won two gold medals at the Vietnam Circus Festival.
