The central Quang Nam province’s Hoi An ancient town hosted a ceremony to welcome its first foreign visitors on the first day of 2014.

A group of 24 German tourists were received by representatives of the Quang Nam People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Tourism Association, Hoi An city's authorities and representatives of travel companies.
The German tourists has done sightseeing, exploring the ancient quarter, traditional craft villages of Hoi An such as Thanh Ha pottery, Kim Bong wood, Tra Que vegetables, and participated in some programs welcoming the new year.
Hoi An has set up twin relationship with many cities around the world to boost cross-cultural exchange.
Quang Nam province welcomed the 1.6 millionth foreign tourist to the province on December 31.
