The UNESCO World Heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park will be honoured at the Quang Binh Cave Festival 2015 taking place in the province from August 14-21.
The Quang Binh Cave Festival 2015, themed “Quang Binh - Kingdom of Caves”, will include the announcement and receipt of the UNESCO certificate recognising Phong Nha-Ke Bang as a World Heritage for the second time, coupled with a key art performance and splendid fireworks display.
An array of interesting activities will take place during the event, such as the launch of new tourist destinations, promotions, farm trips and ticket discounts such as discoveries to Xuyen Son Ho (Trans-Mountain Lake), Hang Toi (Dark Cave) and kayak rowing.
The festival aim to popularise Quang Binh’s cultural values and tourism through cave systems.
The event is also a good opportunity for the locality to attract more domestic and foreign investors and tourists, contributing to fostering local socio-economic development.
