Indonesian Ambassador expects to establish Hanoi - Jakarta direct flight route
On April 26, Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung met with Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Ibnu Hadi, discussing on the friendship relationship between capitals of Hanoi and Jakarta.
At the reception, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung said both Vietnam and Indonesia are located in the ASEAN region and have cultural similarities.
The friendship between the two countries has developed rapidly and become a comprehensive partnership.
Chung said that Indonesia has implemented many investment projects contributing positively to the growth of the capital, typically the Ciputra project - the first real estate a project in Hanoi, which has been one of the city's successful projects.
During the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung expressed his hopes that the phase 3 of Ciputra project could be soon completed.
The Hanoi's leader stressed that the city attaches a great importance to infrastructure development and cultural tourism sector, which have still a lot of potentials for businesses of the two countries to exploit.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung hoped that Ambassador Ibnu Hadi will be a bridge for Indonesian enterprises to invest in Vietnam in general, and Hanoi in particular, while helping to link enterprises of the two countries, especially in the field of tourism.
For his part, Ambassador Ibnu Hadi agreed with the view of Hanoi's Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung.
Ibnu Hadi also hoped to set up a Hanoi-Jakarta direct flight route in the coming time to increase investment and develop tourism between the two capitals.
Chairman Chung committed to try his bests promoting interactive dialogues between the Indonesian diplomat and the representative of the Vietnam Airlines for the early building of Hanoi - Jakarta direct flight route.
