Int’l Lawyers Association concerned about China's actions
The International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL) has severe reservations about China`s actions which have adversely impacted the international situation, said IADL President Jeanne Mirer on a recent working visit to Vietnam.
At a July 25 reception for the IADL President, Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City’s People's Committee Le Thanh Liem appreciated her participation in important events referring to legal issues related to the East Sea situation held in HCM City on July 26.
Liem said that he believes the Association will continue to support Vietnam's struggle against the illegal actions by China in Vietnam’s territorial waters and ask China to comply with the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
