During his trip to Japan, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed the role of Japanese enterprises in reinforcing the Vietnam-Japan ties and thanked them for the practical contribution to the development of Vietnam.He affirmed Vietnam’s pledge to create the best business environment for Japanese firms.

For his part, the leader of ANA Group highly spoke of Vietnamese support for the past fruitful cooperation with Vietnam Airlines, with the aim to turn Vietnam’s localities into highly competitive destinations for investors in the region and worldwide.
The PM then discussed with Okada Motoya, CEO of AEON Group, one of the largest retailers in the world. Phuc encouraged the group to add more made-in-Vietnam products, especially farm produce and food, to its shopping malls around the globe. He asked AEON to develop a system of large-scale, modern shopping malls and train human resources for the retail sector in Vietnam.
The AEON leader hailed Vietnam as an attractive spot for AEON and pledged to bring Vietnamese goods to its stores in Japan and other countries. He proposed the Vietnamese government create favorable condition for Japanese goods to be imported to the Southeast Asian country. AEON was committed to social activities such as providing scholarships for Vietnamese students, building schools and protecting the environment, he added.
During the talks with President of Mitsui Company, Mitsui Tasuo Yasunaga, the PM said that the Vietnamese government would support Mitsui in increasing investment in infrastructure, energy, high-tech industries and artificial intelligence.
Mitsui’s president showed his impression of Vietnam’s development compared to 20 years ago, when the Japanese corporation first sent a delegation to Vietnam to seek for business opportunities. He also committed to long term investment in Vietnam.
