Latest news of Vietnam president: meeting with trade union officials in Hanoi
President Nguyen Phu Trong shared his time meeting and congratulating the 90 anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Vietnam’s President Nguyen Phu Trong on Saturday morning [July 20] met with 100 representatives of trade unions nationwide in the Presidential Place in Hanoi.
The meeting celebrated the 90th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union, the government said on its website.
The president was pictured healthy delivering congratulations to the trade union officials.
The Vietnam Confederation of Labor or Trade Union is said to have pioneering role in leading revolutions in Vietnam and standing side by side with the working class.
In 2019, the Nguyen Van Linh Award was launched to honor individuals having contributions to trade union activities in the year. This year, the award has been bestowed upon 10 individuals.
President Nguyen Phu Trong has resumed working not long ago after he suffered an illness in April. Since the recovery, he maintains high-ranking meetings but occasionally.
