The aim of the program is to mobilize young people to take part in ensuring the order and safety of traffic on roads and waterways in the locality.
The program "Hanoi Youth with Traffic Culture", which is part of a series of activities in the campaign "Capital's Youth Participate in Disseminating and Maintaining Traffic Order and Safety in 2022-2025", was launched on October 14 in Hanoi.

It is also a practical activity of the city's youth to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2023) and the 67th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Youth Union (October 15).
The program is part of a series of activities of the "I Love Hanoi" campaign in 2023 with the theme "For a Green, Civilized, and Safe Hanoi."
Speaking at the event's opening ceremony, Nguyen Duc Tien, Chairman of the Hanoi Youth Union, stressed that traffic safety is always a major concern for authorities at all levels.
"Data from the National Committee on Road Safety show that road accidents claim the lives of tens of thousands of people in Vietnam every year. It also causes damage to the victims' health and ability to work," he said.
The capital's youth are well aware of their role as leaders and volunteers in ensuring traffic order and safety in the city. The Hanoi Youth Union strives to educate 100% of local institutions about road safety and traffic laws at its regular meetings.
At the program, the Hanoi Youth Union also inaugurated the "Capital Youth Volunteer Team in Ensuring Traffic Order, Safety and Rescue"; the "Green Transportation" groups at 10 key traffic points in the city; the "Quick Response Team for Traffic Situations and Problems"; and the "Quick Response Team for Water Situations and Problems."
