Letter from Editor: Thank you for support over the past 25 years

On behalf of the editorial board and the Economic & Urban Newspaper staff, Editor-in-chief Nguyen Thanh Loi expressed his sincere thanks to dear readers, authorities, partners, and friends for their support over the past 25 years.

The Economic & Urban Newspaper, under the Hanoi People's Committee, would like to thank leaders and our esteemed readers for sending us congratulatory messages and flowers on the 25th anniversary (January 1, 1999 – 2024) and for attending the award ceremony of the Labor Order - 1st Class.

Flower baskets were sent by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue to the 25th-anniversary ceremony and the awarding of the Labor Order - 1st Class, the highest award for achievements in national construction.

Notably, the event marked the attendance of Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski; Deputy Chief of Mission, Peruvian Embassy in Vietnam Kristell Avilés Flores; Roshan Lepcha, Counsellor (Pol & Info), Embassy of India in Vietnam; Nakajima Takeo, Chief Representative, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Hanoi.

We are honored to get flower baskets and congratulatory messages sent by Matt Jackson, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative in Vietnam, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Vietnam, the Embassy of Norway in Vietnam, and the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam.  

On this occasion, the Economic & Urban Newspaper received congratulatory messages from leaders of the central agencies, the Hanoi Party Committee, the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Hanoi People’s Council, the Vietnam Fatherland Front – Hanoi; leaders of localities nationwide; heads of diplomatic missions and foreign organizations in Vietnam; business executives; experts, partners, friends, and audiences. Thai News sent its congratulatory letter while local media and journalists at home and abroad expressed their congratulations.

We would like to express our sincere thanks for the cooperation and companionship of readers, authorities, businesses, partners, and friends over the past. We hope to receive the support in the coming time.
