Magnificent Liberation Day decorations in downtown Hanoi

Bright red banners and colorful posters on Hanoi's streets lift spirits before Liberation Day.

To mark the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024), banners and posters adorn many parts of the downtown Hoan Kiem district, the beating heart of the nation.

The heroic memories of Liberation Day feel more serene in Hanoi's crisp autumn air.


On the sidewalks around Hoan Kiem Lake, documents and photos of Liberation Day are displayed.

 

The archives, which emphasize the spirit of "Determined to die for the Fatherland to live", attract the attention of both locals and foreign tourists.

Historical documents have made the area around Hoan Kiem Lake an Instagrammable spot for young people.
