Major entertainment events delayed for General Giap’s state funeral
Many cultural activities will be delayed as they were scheduled to take place during state funeral ceremonies for General Giap, planned for October 12-13.

The 18th Vietnam national film festival, which was scheduled to run from October 11-15, in the northern province of Quang Ninh, is now delayed until October 14-16. This also means that the event must be shortened to three days instead of the planned five days.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said the opening ceremony of the festival will be broadcast live on October 10 as will the awards ceremony on October 16.
The launch of a new film “Am Muu Giay Got Nhot” or The HIgh-Heeled Shoe Conspiracy, will be delayed for a week until October 17.
Vietnamese-American actress Kathy Uyen, model Truc Diem and singer Don Nguyen all acted in the film.
