Miss Vietnam 2016 pageant to honour Vietnamese women beauty

The Miss Vietnam 2016 pageant will be organised to honour the spiritual and intellectual beauty of talented Vietnamese women, said the organising board at a press conference held in HCM City on March 15.

The Miss Vietnam 2016 pageant aims to honour the spiritual and intellectual beauty of talented Vietnamese women, while choosing a representative for Vietnamese women to attend the Miss World contest.

According to the organising board, the final round is scheduled to take place on August 27 in HCM City, with preliminary and semi-final rounds to be held in July.
Miss Vietnam 2016 will be crowned and presented with 500 million VND while the first and second runners-up will recieve 300 million VND and 200 million VND.
In particular, the organising board will present 500 million VND to Young Talents Support Fund of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
At this year's pageant, there are many traditional sub-awards, such as Miss Talent, Miss Beach, Miss Ao Dai, Miss Beautiful Face, Most Voted Miss, Miss Party Dress and Miss Beautiful Hair.

Beside the traditional awards, this year's event also honours Miss Humanity, Chief Editor of Tien Phong newspaper Le Xuan Son, who is Chief of organising board, said in the conference.
The organisers said that each of the 40 contestants chosen for the finale will be in charge of a charity project. Their activities will be broadcast on numerous TV channels for the public to watch.
Initiated in 1988 by Tien Phong newspaper, the biennial event has been paid great attention from society.
